A meandering storyline of mumbo-jumbo names and missing motives. It insisted on explaining nothing to us as if that was the key to success.

Not only could I not figure out who was who or what was going on, but I also couldn’t figure out why the hell I should care about any single part of it.

Yet, within all the confusion there was a strangely compelling story. A meeting of many parties that intrigued me. Despite the lack of explanation that infuriated me, the last 2 issues had me gasping with surprise as finally headway was made and important things were revealed. I feel as though the lopsided foundations laid down in this could be improved upon and strengthened a lot as the story goes on, so I may just read vol 2...
