This was not for me. I read this aloud to my son and was frustrating with the Christian sprinklings throughout the book. We are a secular family and even my 7yo picked up on it. Not only that, but the ending was just poor writing for me, it wrapped up so quickly that it felt like the author was over writing it and just decided to end it. I will also say that this was not the easiest thing to read aloud because sentences structures were insane.

I wish I would have liked this more as an adult but it just didn't live up to our childhood hype.
