Snowed In For Christmas by Sarah Morgan
5.0
Another excellent Christmas book by Sarah Morgan
This is my second Christmas book by Sarah Morgan after I read The Christmas Escape a year ago and loved it. I loved this one as much. I think reading Sarah's Christmas book will become a January habit.
Snowed in for Christmas, although a festive read, is a thought provoking book about the role of women in our society, the expectations placed on us and how these expectations affect each one of us. The Miller women are no exception. Glenda, Alice, Clemmie and Lucy each try to be who they want to be although it might not tick the right boxes in our society or with their family. This lead them to try and keep their secrets to conform to what is expected of them.
I really felt I was in the Scottish Highlands snowed in for Christmas with the Miller family in their chrismassy cottage. I got attached to all the main characters, especially to cheeky, funny, interfering Nanna Jean. I didn't want to leave the Miller's.
