picked up at the library and skimmed the first two chapters or so. the concept seemed interesting, and i’m a sucker for a well-done piece of magical realism, but it was hard for me to connect with the narrator at first and nothing else was quite there yet for me to latch onto. this is my second dnf today lmao i must be in a mood
