The author was funny but this book was just not engaging for me. It didn’t seem like it was about Lafayette so much as the American Revolution in general - and even for someone who was fascinated by this period in American history, I just found myself not feeling motivated to read. My library loan ran out and I just didn’t care enough to renew it.
