It's Laura Ingalls, what more is there to say? I am reading this series to my children as bedtime books. There are a few things that are a bit brutal (ending the chapter on a story about children freezing to death), but that was her life. My husband has never read the books and is also enjoying hearing the stories each night. My son already wants to live a pioneer life, it reminds me of my dreaming to be Laura when I was younger.
