The Authenticity Project by Clare Pooley

5.0

“You meet life head on and try and fight it and control it. Just a little too much, sometimes”.

Lets not talk about the main character(s) but rather the main object from this book, which is a BOOK called The Authenticity Project, written by Julian, a 79 y.o man that turns out to be not 79 at all. He started the "truth chain" by first writing about himself. So this book is passed on to Monica. After Monica read the story of Julian, write something authentic about herself, she passed it on to Hazard and it continues on to 3 other strangers for a chance to be true. It is drama and conflicts-packed. Such a page turner!

The story sets in London and their favourite place to hangout is at Monica's cafe. Its interesting to see an OCD character like her who likes to clean and helped people to clean. She wants to have her own family not realising the fact that she has been more like a mother because she nurse everyone she met. Her hospitality is beyond any kindness.

They all crossed path and helped each others out after reading each others stories. The supporting characters are amazing too! Hats down to the Author for choosing such easy character names to be remembered throught reading the book.

What might look authentics, might turns out to be not. Like Alice's story. She is an instagram influencer with what it looked like a perfect life; marriage, family and health. I too can see many ig-celeb through Alice's story. An ugly authentic truth.

A very enjoying reads!! Its downright "unputdownable"!
