Gwen and Art Are Not in Love by Lex Croucher
5.0
I went into this book not knowing what to expect, and at first I was completely throw off like woah- I thought a different trope was coming into play. Luckily, once my brain figured out what was really going on, I fell in love with the story.
It was a light and happy story with a lot of banter and humor, but it also involved a lot of heavy and very real topics. To explain without giving spoilers, I’ll share a quote:
"To be truly brave, first you must be afraid-and to be afraid, you must have something you cannot bear to lose."
There is a handful of characters that are well-rounded and fully involved in the book, they all have very different characteristics that make for an entertaining dynamic.
This book irritated made, made me happy, made me sad, made me laugh, tugged at my heart strings, and thoroughly surprised me.
