whatever. shit just continues to piss me off.
it took me a whole month to finish this, that's how much i didn't want to read it. but i powered through it in the end, thank fuck. first of all, i can't believe they actually fucking killed sir malcolm, the audacity. and then still had him hang around as a ghost for half of this for no actual reason. second, they had the audacity to kill dorian off as well. he was so separated from the main set of characters for the entirety of the show, and i guess instead of just actually incorporating him into the story like i thought they would, with him being connected to the devil and all that, they just killed him. he's gone. that was it for him. so fucking lame. i understand his reason for wanting to die, it makes sense for his character, but i just really wanted to see that development, instead of it being so rushed. though i'm glad he shared that final moment with lily, that final dance. it was lovely. and speaking of lily, i wanted to see her reunite with ethan, but them immediately being written as romantic threw me off a bit. it's been so long, they're such different characters now, so it just felt really weird, honestly. wish they would build up to that a bit more, if they were going to do it. though i don't know exactly what they're planning to do in that final comic, because the next thing ethan did was jump into bed with the literal devil. which i still don't fucking get, he didn't seem like he was being manipulated, usually people have weird eyes when it's happening, so why the fuck would he sleep with someone literally inhabiting vanessa's body? i know one of his girlfriends came back to life, did he think the latest one did as well? pissed and confused about that. i don't care how much he wanted to sleep with vanessa, that was not her! and i'm so fucking tired of seeing her body being used and violated! leave her alone! if he actually put a fucking baby in her, i will quit. i will not read this shit no more (i will probably power through once again, just to finish it, but it will piss me off beyond belief).
well, at least i got some more jekyll and hyde action! i asked for it! i don't want him to be a character that just fades into the background, but i honestly have no clue what else they can possibly do with him with like a hundred pages left. i guess i will see.
oh, and the creature is still nowhere to be found. so unfortunate. he was one of vanessa's closest friends too.
edit: i should not have read the third fucking volume.
