Magnolia is so, so lovely! She’s so gentle and sweet. Even more, Magnolia is kind, compassionate, sincere and incredibly caring. And I loved her optimism and romantic hopefulness. Magnolia is as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside and I loved her so, so much!

And then, there’s Garrek - the biggest grump on the Zabrian colony! He’s stoic, rough around the edges and a male of a few words. But there is more to his hard and gruff exterior than meets the eye. Because Garrek is also incredibly patient, considerate, observant, honorable and ferociously protective. He might not show it outward, but this Zabrian cowboy feels so much and has such a big and soft heart. Garrek is an incredible male and I couldn’t help but adore every single thing about him!

I absolutely loved everything that happened between Magnolia and Garrek! Magnolia discovers that her alien groom is too injured to come meet her, and Garrek, along with his young convict-ward Killian, are tasked to take her to him. And travelling towards the mountains was quite the adventure for those three.

I absolutely adored Magnolia and Garrek together! Every moment they spent in each other’s company, the tension, the yearning, the inner monologues, the cultural differences - all was an absolute delight to read. And the hilarious miscommunication and Zabrian’s inability to pronounce some female… parts correctly had me absolutely cackling!

Even more, during every day of their travels, I loved discovering more and more not only about Garrek and Magnolia, but also about Killian and that boy absolutely melted and won my heart. Mentioning Killian… I also adored the bonding moments between him and Magnolia, and between him and Garrek. That wonderful boy with a penchant for chaos deserves all the love in the world!

Now, back to Magnolia and Garrek… Even though they tried to fight it, feelings bloomed along their journey and seeing how their lovely bond formed was just beautiful. Those two were just so perfect for each other and I couldn’t get enough of either of them. And they more than deserved to find happiness and love together!

Overall, the story is another absolutely incredible addition to the series! Honestly, these stories are so awesome, that if I ever have the chance, I’d happily yee my haw to the Zabrian colony and ride an alien cowboy! I mean… ride WITH an alien cowboy… (no, I don’t.)

I couldn’t put it down and absolutely loved every single page of it!
