The book heavily centers around the racism that the two main characters face. The main characters, Chiamaka and Devon, live in very different classes but are brought together by the anonymous "Aces" who text the whole school about what the two do privately. Their unpacking of the identity of Aces leads them to question the relationships they have built inside and outside of school.
Graphic: Bullying, Homophobia, Racism, Stalking, and Outing
Moderate: Addiction and Car accident
Minor: Eating disorder and Suicidal thoughts
