This is a creative, unique, and beautifully written fantasy. The setting is immersive and feels like a child's imagination. I really liked the nonsensical nature of the world. Hana and Keishin are complete opposites. He follows a more scientific viewpoint, and her being more open and with fluid thinking.
For me, the plot was just okay. I ended up being distracted by world building, and I didn't like being pulled away for the plot. I did like the twist at the end. It was really interesting how the two main characters were connected. The romance was sweet but insta-love.
It's a beautiful book, and it deserves praise for the prose, but I felt like it lacked substance overall.
