This graphic novel was precious!! With adorable, heartstopper-like illustration this is bound to pull a new audience into Austen, similarly to the effect Clueless had on the 90s generation. It’s precious, inclusive, funny, and full of all the pathos and drama of the original. The modernisation works well, but I sometimes struggled with know exactly what dynamics were happening. A little more exposition might have helped. Overall, a great adaptation of Jane Austen’s Emma and a really charming graphic novel.
