This was well-written, but disappointing. I think the reader is supposed to rally around poor single, yet beautiful Grace, but I couldn’t do it. Her amazing job, her designer clothes budget, her UWS apartment, her loving adoptive parents, her devoted bestie & her beauty privilege affording her 2 guys who loved her and a hot booty call made me not care very much about her personal betterment (not that the story proved it really existed) or her anxiety about dealing with her birth mom's family. I didn’t care about her and there might have been a couple romantic moments that could have been something, but there was no story aside from her.
