Catalyst by S.J. Kincaid

4.0

Seriously stunning science fiction!! I've liked this series from the start. Kincaid writes in such a way that brings the characters so much to life I felt like I was reading about friends. I could totally see how they would act and move and hear their voices, which lead to many laugh-out-loud moments and even tears. While the series (and this final one especially) is highly entertaining, there is some really good make-you-stop-and-think stuff going on here. She is not afraid to let her characters explore the deeper ideas ethical sciences, class differences, elitist manipulation, the potential of humanity as a whole. Not to mention friendship, betrayal, trust, love...and all without bogging down the reader or the story. I can't wait to see what she does next. Well done!
