This is really more of a 2.5 stars for me. It was ok. The author’s passion for food was obvious throughout and everything sounded delicious. But the characters fell flat for me; I just didn’t find myself swept up in the story. In addition, I encountered my least favourite plot device and by then, I was skimming through the pages.

The book started strong and had a lot of potential. Because of that, I’d still check out future offerings from the author.
