The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller
Did not finish book.
DNF, not because it wasn't good, but because my ADHD did not really let me focus on it the way it deserves. I also started to read this at a time when it was especially difficult for me to get into reading, so some of that guilt has hindered my ability to appreciate this book the way I want to.
The writing is very beautiful and elegant. I like to think I'm pretty knowledgeable about Ancient Greek history but this was my introduction to Achilles and Patroclus.
There are sex scenes and the way they were written was very poetic and made it clear that these weren't just libido driven but actually an expression of adoration.
I guess I also didn't finish it because I know it ends tragically. That's not a note against the book. Again, my reasons for not finishing are largely personal and nothing against the book.
