Kiss Me, Kill Me by Allison Brennan
4.0
When I still had a few chapters left, I added myself to my library's hold list for the next entry in this series. I think the biggest compliment that I can give this series is that it is extremely easy to read. Despite being in one of those moods where I just can't manage to finish any of the books I start, I polished this one off within twenty-four hours.
I still just don't really care about the romantic part of the plot. I get that it is partially a romance novel, but I would be happier if Lucy and Sean were just a happy couple that occasionally had sex in contained scenes that are easy to skip.
Other than that aspect, I don't really have anything I dislike. The mystery works rather well. There is a little bit of stretching the plot to keep the reader from coming to the solution too quickly, but it is pretty minimal. Lucy and Sean are a little more developed as characters from the first book. I like the secondary characters a lot. I would love it if Suzanne Madeaux showed up in a later book in the series.
