this book is apart of a series (something i was not aware of when i bought it) and the author has said you can read it as a stand-alone but as someone who read it as a standalone i highly discourage it. it’s still a very enjoyable book but without the background knowledge for kerris, walsh, jo, and who sofie was before this book it’s hard to be emotionally connected to it. however, i really enjoyed the story and loved the main characters either way. also, in the beginning of the book the author warns about ur sexual assault and how it isn’t very graphic and i disagree. make sure you know going into this book there is a lot of talk about rape and it IS graphic.
