I regularly see this pop up in my lists of best manga of all time. Now that I have read the first volume I get it.

Its an extremely cute series, with a likable and personable cast. Yotsuba herself is a combo of weird, adorable, and funny. Her family and neighbors help inject some different perspectives and people into the story.

Overall, this is just a gentle story about a curious young child, and he wandering around a new city.

Its a great break from all the fantasy and science fiction I have been reading lately.
