Goddammit I am so disappointed right now. The first three chapters are the end of the story and a solid like 3/5–I think there’s SO much unexplored and it could’ve been much better instead of hyper focusing on the 2 “main” characters. My biggest problem is obv the extra chapters, because jfc talk about a MASSIVE trigger warning?? I really, really HATED the incense burner chapter and pretty much all the sex scenes kind of ruined the relationship dynamic tbh. It felt extremely out of character and kind of made me dislike the characters that I’d really started to love. And this is not me being a prude, it’s just really poorly written smut and horribly portrayed (consensual? maybe) non-consent. The other extra chapters were very okay.

I wish this entire book could just be rewritten entirely because it really could have been good. I’m so disappointed.
