A boy and his grandfather, Dadaji, play together on a rainy monsoon afternoon. The author draws from her own childhood memories of growing up in Western India. (she currently lives in Madison, Wisconsin.) A lovely relationship between grandfather and grandchild. Illustrations and story incorporate cultural elements like food (mangos, guavas, tea) plants and animals(banyan tree, peacocks),and everyday life of an Indian household.
