This isn't as action packed and exciting as the main Folk of the Air series but, unlike Taryn's novella, this was an excellent glimpse into Cardan and did a great job providing backstory and weaving together so many themes and glimpses we got in the main works. Truthfully this is more of a 4 star read but it ties in so well to the main series that I have to give it a 5 star rating to match.
