Der Rabbi von Bacherach: Ein Fragment by Heinrich Heine
4.0
Like Heine himself, it's full of contradiction, swinging dizzily back and forth between half-familiar, half-reverential love for the Jewish tradition, and intensely dark cynicism about Jews and gentiles alike. I wish the rest of the book had not been lost.
