I enjoyed how this story played out, full of character development and surprising twists.
This installment of the saga of the Lady(ies) of Faire Isle involves Guy Fawkes, old enemies and older friends, and several moments that I did not see coming, which is always a treat. And there's even just a touch of romance, along with a variety of perspectives on grief and fear and love and friendship.
