Something Just Like This by Lisa Shelby

4.0

Cami Holsted is 30 and best friends with Emily and Alex. When Emily's husband's, Jonathan, best friend arrives back in town Cami takes him under her wing to show him a good time when every one else decides to call it a night and the two begin a friendship.

Liam Fanua owns a construction company with his father and they are looking to expand so he decides to move closer to Jonathan to start over after being dumped by his girlfriend Hannah Edwards. As much as he is trying to move forward he seems to be turning to the bottle for more comfort.

As Cami and Liam begin to get closer can Cami help Liam deal with his past and make him look forward to a future with her? When their future has one major hitch in it will they make it through and find a common ground?

This is a great book on dealing with the past and moving onto a great future. Yet it also deals with some difficult issues like alcohol abuse and trying to find a way above it.

I really liked Cami but she was truly very independent which could definitely scare some guys away. She was a ton of fun and I absolutely adored what she did for Liam with the wedding. That was so awesome and it showed the type of person that she truly was and I loved it!

Liam was a great character and extremely close to his family but was dealing with his grief over losing Hannah with turning to alcohol. He was a super hard worker and I loved watching his friendship with Cami evolve into something more.

I hated what was driving the two of them apart and how much Liam fell apart when everything went down. I liked how he knew that he needed time to fix himself before being with Cami.

The end was great and I look forward to more from this author!
