3.5 stars 🌟 this subverted my expectations. I like that the author strayed from the narrative of "the rake" being reformed. All the characters were absolutely unique. The one thing that would have made this story even better would have been if it leaned into hilarity. If there was more funny moments, characters, banter then this would have rated even higher in my book.
