A very satisfying sequel and conclusion to I Feed Her to the Beast. While the first book is about fighting against the injustices against Laure and burning it all down, this book is about Laure's struggle to let go and move on while an eldritch god lives inside her. She's tired and burnt out, and she wants an end to the constant fighting. The first half is slow and messy as recovery tends to be, but the second half picks up as Laure confronts the people who betrayed and abandoned her and learns to live for herself. I'm so happy that she finally gets the happy ending she deserves!!!
