”the moment she kissed me, i knew i wasn’t going to want anyone else ever again. i didn’t plan for someone to be in my life, but i wanted to make room.“

oh this was just too good.

i must start off by saying that i need grant foxx biblically. his whole quiet/don’t get too close vibe was so intriguing, especially because he tried so hard not to want laney, but that plan obviously went to shit. both him and laney are haunted by their pasts, but find something within each other that helps them heal in different ways.

laney was so strong and powerful, much more than she realised, and i loved how she basically had no filter at any given time. she would say whatever was on her mind, even if it drove grant crazy. as much as he tried to keep himself from falling for her, he would do little things that showed how much he loved and truly wanted her.

the amount of times i was internally screaming at them to kiss or do SOMETHING should be studied, and as soon as they got together for the first time, i cheered! giggled and kicked my feet like a loser because their tension, banter, and connection were just too freaking good.

tysm to eva for the rec <3 i’m already onto book two
