A thing I sometimes do: pick a book based on its title. A thing I should stop doing: picking a book based on its title.

This is the author's everything and the kitchen sink (she even says so on the back cover) and the book really suffers for the weight of all the extra crap that has no place in this story that could have been interesting and woven together in a really interesting way and instead is a giant mess.
