The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros

3.0

Brings me back to early childhood. Touches somewhat on the shame, anxiety, ambition of growing up as a young child to immigrant parents. Ultimately written from a point of view that was too elementary for someone stumbling upon this book in their mid-twenties; if I had read this as a child it likely would have resonated more. To keep in mind for my mexican daughters.
