I found out about this book on Instagram from all places, the post was from the illustrator, T.L. McBeth.
He mentioned this book was sadly banned in some school districts across the United States.

Now remember, this book is literally about a bunny who wears a sweater and the message in this book is not to let the societal dress code (females wear dresses, males wear pants and shirts) and pressure from society to act a certain way (such as boys can play sports and girls can't.) get to you. And you can wear whatever you want and play whatever you want to play.

It's funny because this book says in the tags (currently) that it's LGBTQ+ but I don't even think it is. This message should be for everyone, not just LGBTQ+ people (this is coming from someone from the LGBTQ+ community).

This book had a great message and though it isn't a sad or emotional book, it had me feeling this way in some parts with everything happening in the world right now.
And if you're thinking of reading this to your child, don't let me stop you!
Your child (hopefully) doesn't know the whole story of what is happening politically in the world and won't feel the same sadness or emotion as me.
And I think this is a great message to tell your child and again, I don't think this has to do with the LGBTQ+ community entirely as I think everyone should wear what they want regardless of their gender identity or sexuality.
