Second book, but whilst capable of being read standalone, the history behind Robin and Adam meeting is best read in book 1.
This does comes across with a very British voice and social reference, which I love - The Liver Birds, a part of my youth!
Lots of twists and turns, to the extent I did get a bit lost right before the end, however the convoluted relationships, twitching curtains, mistaken identities and bent cops all got sorted out in the end.
Adam and Robin had a few personal issues but their romance is more of a lovely background warmth to the murder mystery elements.
