DNF at 36%

I really wanted to like this book and my dislike was surprising since I have enjoyed her previous work but the story keeps lagging and nothing seems to be happening.
I have not found any reason to root for the MC and really don’t care for her at all.
My main problem with the book is that the writing felt juvenile and overly simple. There were some mistakes as to how they got from one place to the other or them forgetting they had horses and leaving by foot? Some things like that that once you start noticing you can’t stop.
Reading was simply starting to feel like a chore and not something I love to do.
