Queer Cheer is an amazing book with so much love and positivity for anyone in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Though this book targets teenagers, I think anyone who needs this can read it because who doesn’t need positivity in their life? Especially as a marginalized group and what is currently happening in the world.
This book has advice and experiences written by other Queer teenagers and tons of affirmations and interactive activities to do.
An example of an interactive activity in this book is:
"Get Inspired: Watch online videos where other people discuss their coming-out stories." (page 29)
Both authors are Queer themselves which is awesome! And I wish I had this book when I was a teenager because it’s an amazingly thought-out book with lots of love put into it.
"The key is to take the time to explore and adore every part of your legendary self." (Page 10)
Whether you’re part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ or have someone in your life who is a part of it.
I think you/they should read this book and it’s a kind gesture for anyone you’re giving it to (including yourself).

Moderate: Bullying, Toxic friendship, Abandonment, and Dysphoria
Minor: Deadnaming, Homophobia, Self harm, Suicide, and Transphobia
This is a quote in Queer Cheer on page 2 talking about potential triggering content in this book.
"Queer Cheer is a thought-provoking book intended to give you a burst of positivity and confidence. Some content includes discussions of abandonment, anxiety, body image, bullying, depression, eating disorders, family rejection, gender discrimination, homophobia, mental health, religious trauma, transphobia, and suicide. We encourage readers who may be sensitive to these elements to note this and take care of themselves." (Queer Cheer, page 2.)
Please take care of yourself and take your time reading this book if needed.
You're loved.
