Cowboy's Texas Rescue by Beth Cornelison
4.0
Solid believable characters. Neither the woman or the man frustrated or annoyed me, which is a big plus for me, because I find it hard to like the women in romance books. I actually really liked this woman. Yes, she's a little insecure, but not overly so. It's a believable amount. I also like that she's not a bad ass chick, nor a damsel in distress. She seems human, and fights like hell when needed. My only complaint was that she says, "Oh Texas!" soooo many times. It's corny as hell to begin with, and then she keeps saying it throughout the book. I think that might be the only check mark I had against this character.
....Spoiler....
I love in the ending the man didn't realize she'd lost 24 pounds because he seen her just as beautiful before she lost weight. I thought that was an awesome touch! I've read books before where the plus size woman will loose weight and it seems like the sex gets vamped up, and more is mentioned about her "hot body." But this one wasn't like that. He didn't realize it, and told her if she felt better that way, than that's fine. He loves her either way, and loves her body either way too.
