4.0

What I Liked:
  • The dialogue - witty and lots of fun banter
  • Older MMC with all the aches and pains and trauma you’d expect from a retired adventurer
  • I love a romance between an older married couple working together
  • Bacon, Bastard, and Other Bastard, the farm animals
  • The narrator, Owen Findlay, did a brilliant job

What I Didn’t Like:
  • The necromancer constantly touching everyone and making advances at them after they told her no
  • The MMCs were separated for more of the book than I would have liked
