Cherry Lane is a story about a woman trying to forge her way through some hard circumstances. Devon, through her subsequent mistakes and decisions starts to realize that she is a woman of strength. Devon also manages to learn lessons along the way that help her to become a better person for herself and her baby. When she meets David that is just the icing on the cake. Overall, Rochelle Alers created a story full of characters that have foibles like everyone does yet learning from those inadequacies enough to work toward becoming a better person despite the obstacles is what drew me to this story.
