My Sister's Big Fat Indian Wedding by Sajni Patel

4.25

This was a really fun rom-com YA. I enjoyed the characters and the chaos of the big family and the massive wedding. I thought that the development of the relationship between Zuri and Naveen worked well and was pretty well paced
and I liked that there was just the hint of the future in the end with the acknowledgment that they both had a lot of personal things to do before they might be ready for something more substantial
. Things got a little too chaotic at times, but it was kept in check and I was surprised that it wasn't too, too hard to keep everyone straight with such a big cast. I wanted to look up every single food reference, but there were so many, it would have taken me forever to read the book if I did! I sort of wish there was a glossary of some of the common references for those of us who are unfamiliar with some of the customs and cultural references, not in the story, but as a little addendum at the back of the book. A fun, funny, and sweet romance with plenty of music and family drama.
