First of all, this book was a lot to take in. The sexual abuse and torture were so graphic that after Addie's first rape and the subsequent heel incident, my stomach could not hadle more that I google seached when she will be rescued and skipped to that part. And to my horror it took until chapter 22 for her to get out of that hell hole.
Another that bothered me was they constant pain-inducing shenanigans both Zade and Addie do to profess and ensure each others love. So much so that I don't even think this falls under the romance genre anymore. I mean, I have read my fair share of dark romance but this is the first time that I thought, nope, I don't think this is love anymore lol
The only saving grace for me is their revenge was pretty satisfying. Though, I agree with some reviews that the story dragged on. We could've use less of the graphic S.As and ended the whole thing within like 20 chapters or so.
