I had JUST attended the Hootie & the Blowfish concert in Columbia when... Ta-Da! The library texted that Lowcountry Boomerang was ready. What a coincidence that the murder suspect is Darius Baker, the star of Main Street America, who has returned home to Stella Maris! Darius is suspected of murdering his first wife, Trina Lynn, a local TV personality.
Susan Boyer is still able to keep Liz and Nate fresh in murder suspects along with the Mama and Daddy drama.
The only thing I didn't like about this one is that the Brantly Miller storyline didn't feel complete. Liz and Nate knew he was in Stella Maris and even suspected him at one point, but then when he wasn't a suspect any longer, nothing else was mentioned about him. I was hoping that there would have been some type of meeting between him and Darius.
I always enjoy reading the Author's Note and Acknowledgments in the series as Susan Boyer explains a bit behind the scenes for the reader.
Can't wait for #9, Boondoggle!
