This is okay as a stand alone – there is some character crossover with Silas and Honora from The Earl’s Temptation though.
Basic plot:
Emmaline’s father is hired to paint Benedict, but a connection grows when Emmaline takes over the portrait.

My thoughts:
Overall I thought this one was fine – a quick and steamy read with some unrequited longing I really adored. I did want the characters to….talk more? Get to know each other more? I’m okay with instalust sometimes but in this one I felt like they barely had interaction/knew each other before the end of the book, so that dropped it just a bit for me. But I did find some swoony lines and thoughts.
