I mean I didn't hate this book. I didn't really care for it either. It was like Un Lun Dun; it was just kind of boring and lacking something. Like the sense of adventure and vivid descriptions usually accompanying fantasy. However I realize that this is a children's book so I give it kind of a pass on this. Unlike Un Lun Dun I wasn't expecting something unique and amazing. So I give it a two because I did end up putting it down a bit more than halfway through.
