The Girl in the Moon by Terry Goodkind
5.0
** I received a copy of this book for free through a Goodreads giveaway. **
First, this book is dark, very dark. That isn't a bad thing though. To the contrary. I truly enjoyed how dark the book got. Enjoyed in the sense of, 'holy god! The main character has been through hell and she survived it all!'. I'm glad Goodkind didn't pull any punches with this book. He set the reader up for a dark sequel at the end of 'Nest' and he definitely doesn't disappoint. Without giving any spoilers, all I can say is that as dark and graphic as this book is, while it is certainly not for everyone, it is very enjoyable. It is a very welcome sequel for those people who enjoyed 'Nest' but it does feel all too real and foreboding at times. If you don't mind true darkness and pure hell in your books, this is definitely the book for you!
