Poison Ivy Vol. 2: Unethical Consumption by G. Willow Wilson, Atagun Ilhan
4.0
I'm still absolutely loving this series on a trade reread. The art remains stunning, and although perhaps I'd say individual panels don't have the beauty that was on almost every page of (five of) the first six issues, full page splashes like the gorgeous pink moon more than make up for it. The colouring has also really levelled up - the neons are so vibrant and toxic. Really excellent stuff throughout.
I really am irritated by Janet. I'm not a Harley and Ivy obsessive and I like them separately as much as together, but when Harley refers to her as 'your little side-quest' to Ivy, she could not be more correct. She's boring and I can't wait for her to be out of this series - she's definitely used up more than her time. Unfortunately, I remember from reading the series monthly that she sticks around for ages. Bleurgh. But that's not a complaint against the writing - I just don't like her!
