My first Ernaux but I’d hazard a guess at not her best.
The whole time I was reading it (not long, to be fair) I couldn’t figure out if it was a memoir or a work of fiction. I still don’t know, honestly, because on the back of the book it’s tagged as a memoir but on here it’s labeled as fiction. A mystery for the ages, I guess.
All in all, I just wanted a little bit more from this.
Only half a day after reading this, I have almost erased it from my memory and have been struggling to even remember the title. Yikes.
