Darling Rose Gold by Stephanie Wrobel

4.0

From the cover, I had no idea what I was in for with this book. I thought it was some Millennial love story. Um, no.

It's got the vibes of Gone Girl with a backdrop similar to the DeeDee/Gypsy Rose Blanchard story. I enjoyed the switch back and forth from the current perspective of the mom and the flashbacks from the daughter. The book was engaging, well-written, and deliciously screwed up. The ending/resolution came a bit too quickly for me, but was satisfying nonetheless. A great weekend read!
