A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas
5.0
Every fantasy series is basically the same. There's always good versus evil, often a war, and always, always a love story. While the [b:A Court of Thorns and Roses|16096824|A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #1)|Sarah J. And I can't imagine how I can wait almost a whole year for the next book to come out, especially when [a:Sarah J. Maas|3433047|Sarah J. And the fact that I have to wait five years for the whole series to be out....it's torture.
For seven years I've been searching for the new Harry Potter. The third installment, even more than the first two, showed me that this series is really it for me. And let's be honest here: the character development is impeccable. Also the fact that SJM basically turned the tides completely in [b:A Court of Mist and Fury|17927395|A Court of Mist and Fury (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #2)|Sarah J. And then she brought in Feyre's sisters.
While in the first book, Nesta and Elain were basically inconsequential, in the second, we got more of a glimpse into the role they would play. And then with [b:A Court of Wings and Ruin|23766634|A Court of Wings and Ruin (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #3)|Sarah J. I'm absolutely shocked at how their relationships with everyone played out, as well as the power and lives of their own that Maas gave them. In the first book, I had hoped that at least Nesta would play more of a role in the next. I'm really happy to see what she's become.
I guess I'll just have to wait until next May to find out what happens. UGH!

Spoiler
I do have to wonder, though, what the next book could possibly be about. Things seem resolved. But then again, these things are never what they seem.I guess I'll just have to wait until next May to find out what happens. UGH!
