Esta es la primera novela de la autora y tengo que decir que me ha gustado mucho.
Esta es una nueva revisión al folklore sobre las hadas y los faes que me ha rodeado como un hechizo. Me ha encantado el mundo que presenta, con toda su magia, sus criaturas y sus Cortes asociadas a las estaciones. 
En especial me ha gustado muchísimo el valor que se le da a la capacidad de crear, desconozco si en el folklore sobre las hadas éstas no pueden crear cosas nuevas sin morir, que es la premisa de esta historia. Destaco esto porque la protagonista es pintora y me ha encantado como la autora describe este trabajo, cómo desde la perspectiva de la protagonista existe un gran detalle a cómo es el proceso de iniciar, desarrollar y terminar una pintura, así como cómo se siente ella al pintar. 
De hecho, todo lo que la protagonista ve siempre tiene una especie de filtro o comentario que hace referencia a los colores o las texturas y cómo sus manos buscan cualquier excusa para trasladar lo que ve al lienzo. 
Me ha parecido una perspectiva muy interesante, así como una forma muy única y certera de dotar a la protagonista de talentos que transcienden las habilidades y son parte de ella. Además, creo que el hecho de que la protagonista sintiera todo esto a la hora de pintar hace que el resto de personajes mágicos se sientan atraídos por ella o quieran poseerla, de forma que la colocan a ella en una posición de poder y vulnerabilidad muy peculiar. 
La relación con el interés amoroso me ha parecido muy interesante, ya que él al ser un fae se rige por reglas que no son humanas. Y, a pesar de conocer a estas criaturas, la protagonista no se sabe todas las normas. Esto produce situaciones complejas entre ambos. Además, esta dinámica se basa mucho en comentarios ingeniosos e inteligentes, y me ha encantado.
Me ha gustado mucho todas las referencias al folklore de las hadas y cómo funciona dentro de la sociedad humana...pero cómo se vuelve peligrosa si es una humana la que pone un pie en territorio Fae. 
Sin embargo, sí que diría que esta novela, aunque me ha gustado, tiene algunos problemas de ritmo, ya que presentaba fragmentos muy lentos en los que no pasaba gran cosa y los protagonistas iban de un sitio a otra, para que después pasaran muchas cosas muy atropelladas. A esto también hay que sumarle el hecho de que a mi entender el romance es muy atropellado para mi gusto. 

A pesar de todo esto me ha gustado mucho la historia y la recomendaría. Estoy deseando leer más de la autora.

This is the author's first novel and I have to say I really enjoyed it.
This is a new revision to the folklore about fairies and fae that has surrounded me like a spell. I loved the world it presents, with all its magic, its creatures and its Courts associated with the seasons.
I especially loved the value placed on the ability to create, I don't know if in fairy folklore fairies can't create new things without dying, which is the premise of this story. I highlight this because the protagonist is a painter and I loved how the author describes this work, how from the protagonist's perspective there is great detail to what the process of starting, developing and finishing a painting is like, as well as how she feels when she paints.
In fact, everything the protagonist sees always has a kind of filter or commentary that refers to the colours or textures and how her hands look for any excuse to transfer what she sees to the canvas.
I found it a very interesting perspective, as well as a very unique and accurate way of endowing the protagonist with talents that transcend skills and are part of her. Also, I think the fact that the protagonist felt all this when painting makes the other magical characters feel attracted to her or want to possess her, in a way that puts her in a very peculiar position of power and vulnerability.
I found the relationship with the love interest very interesting, since he, being a fae, is governed by rules that are not human. And, despite knowing these creatures, the protagonist doesn't know all the rules. This leads to complex situations between the two.Also, this dynamic relies a lot on witty and intelligent comments, and I loved it.
I really liked all the references to fairy folklore and how it works within human society...but how it becomes dangerous if it's a human who sets foot in Fae territory.
However, I would say that this novel, although I liked it, had some pacing problems, as it had very slow parts where nothing much was happening and the main characters were going from one place to another, and then a lot of things happened in a very rushed manner. In addition to this, I found the romance too rushed for my taste.

Despite all this I really enjoyed the story and would recommend it.I look forward to reading more from the author
