Our FMC Ryen has been with her boyfriend for 5 years but the last few years haven’t been much fun for her, he’s slowly taken her soul piece by piece until he breaks her completely. On the outside no-one would know what she’s going through, what she went through in the past…she chose to stay with the wrong guy. Her nature is of the ‘keep them happy, be unseen and quiet’.
A new pasty chef is employed at her work, he’s tall and handsome, Ryen still believing she’s in love with her boyfriend/ex doesn’t see Parker as anything other than a work colleague that all changes when he is privy to her treatment one night. Their relationship starts to build but will it all crash down on them?
It was an enjoyable read, slow to start but building up. I do think it needs a proofread as there were quite a few errors such as ‘advert’ in place of ‘avert’ to name one, if these don’t bother you and you can skip them then I say go ahead and give it a go.
